After another year of activities and events to support the 2012 Tattie Bogal Festival with many locals and visitors taking part, we are looking forward to another busy year in 2013.

7 July - Tattie Bogal Workshop - Minginish Community Hall 11am - 4pm

Similar to last year's workshop, this year's workshop kicked off the event to allow the local community to create their own Tattie Bogals. The day included:

• Bogal basics - stakes, straw etc
• A willow workshop
• Bring your own bogal clothes and ideas
• Snack bar with tea/coffee etc

21 July - Tattie Bogal Family Fun Day, Minginish Community Hall

A day of fun activities for all ages which included:

• Aunt Sally & Worzel Gummidge serving tea/coffee etc
• Story telling
• Bouncy castle, kids games etc
• Water colour painting lessons
• Drawing lessons
• and more!

We had great fun and lots of hot dogs and cake.

Can’t believe I can paint with watercolours great work shop.

What a great idea, been good for families.

I have been helping out with the café dressed as a scarecrow just good fun with my mates.

Fruit salad was a nice refreshing change for a snack bar.

The Tattie Bogal route is amazing we have just come for a coffee to finish off, people here are so talented.

Wow loved the sumo and my dad did it too. Got some sick photos.

The artist who done the workshop showed me dome great tips, I am going to try and start a new hobby because I enjoyed it so much.

I bought some Tattie Bogals there great to take home with me, thanks.

I want to make a real Tattie Bogal! I think it will be Rod Stewart with a big bum.

My kids loved the tunnel and chasing the scarecrow round and round – good family fun day.

Café was great with lots of young scarecrows helping out.

I got a t shirt and a mug luv them.

This has made our trip to Skye special with lots of memories and some great photos.

The fact of a water colour workshop for everyone was great, total concentration and great the no IT involved good call, good idea, great outcome for everyone.

OMG how old am I? I can remember Worzel Gummage, but watching the movie was weird, in a good way, thanks for some great memories.

1 - 3pm

11 August - Tattie Bogal Ceilidh - Minginish Community Hall

A licensed event for all to celebrate the 2012 Tattie Bogal season:

• We were delighted to have the band from the Ceilear Trail playing this year
• Tattie Bogal judging
• Raffle
• Bar and snacks etc
